WELCOME!
Updated
On: Jan 03, 2012 (12:27:00)
Welcome to the webiste of Local No. 387 IBEW.
Our local stands for quality of life, protection of human rights, individual accountability, promotion of employment and job stability for all workers.
We recognize that for our local to prosper and grow, so must our companies. Therefore, we will find ways to further the interests of our membership, our employees, our companies, and the public.
To do this, we will promote, support and where necessary demand:
- Aggressive organizing.
- Needed work place changes of mutual advantage.
- A safe work environment for all.
- Sensitivity to diversity.
- A highly skilled and productive work force.
- An understanding of labor's essential role in the work place of the future.
Our goal is to increase employment at our companies through growth and production with the most qualified labor force in the electrical industry. We will cooperate with our companies to train and promote skilled employees within the membership of IBEW Local 387 and through this effort our companies can grow and provide more job stability in the work place of the future.
Local 387 agrees for its members, that they will individually and collectively perform loyal and high quality work and service; that they will use their influence and best efforts to protect the property of the companies and its service to the public; and that they will cooperate in promoting and advancing the welfare of the companies and the protection of its service to the public at all times.

Never Forget
Updated
On: Jan 03, 2012 (12:37:00)
Since the 1200's Unions or Guilds as they were named back then have poured themselves in the the rights for workers. IBEW 387 as well as other Unions are reaping the benefits of their Legacy.
YOU are the Union and together WE stand united for the working class. Know your contract, know your bylaws, know your Constitution. Live these principles and pass them down to all those who stand next to you in this cause. We, as all other Labor Organizations are only as strong and as effective as our members.
Labor Laws have helped our cause in this country tremendously, have allowed us to organize and use the collective bargaining process to live a better life and contribute back to our economy. However, it is US together that allow the process to continue!
Enjoy this Music video of the "Union Song." Let the photos embed in your mind what has been done for you by many who have ran the race before you. Take the baton, and carry it further!

Attention APS Employees
Updated
On: Jan 03, 2012 (12:27:00)
All Members that are currently under APS's healthcare plan involving United Health Care (UHC) are strongly urged to fill out and return the survey that was mailed to your current addres on file by NOVEMBER 30, 2011.
In our last arrangement with APS there have been some issues that we feel were not equal to, nor comparable to our Health Plan Agreement which we are addressing through a grievance. The first being issues with UHC and the limited amount of Primary Care Physicians that do not carry UHC; and the second component being the facilitator of our health plan Sedgwick.
Surveys will be read and discussed with APS Management on Thursday DECEMBER 15th.
